For a simple seo report one could use the addons (chrome or mozilla) from http://domof.com/p/help.html , which on click will point the user to the seo analysis page of the current browsing tab ;-)

SEO Quake also offers a tool to determine when a link is a nofollow link (it will just put a line through the text) like on this site. All wordpress installations are nofollow automatically. You will have to use a plug-in to make your comment links "dofollow"

Forgot to mention, there's also a firefox addon that highlights nofollow links automatically on the page, no need to look at the source at all.

Just thought I'd remind you that if you're using firefox, select a part of a page, right click "view selection source" is a quicker way of finding what you're looking for.

I fully agree that both kinds of links are important, though be it for different reasons. It's like being right handed but having a left hand is still pretty useful. One question though. I understand that Wordpress automatically adds no-follow links to all external links. Is this true or not? I would appreciate your feedback on this.

Thanks, great video. But I was hoping when I saw your email that you were going to talk about how to put nofollow on links in your own blogs too :-( I don't understand why when I have a problem how no-one else seems to ever have that same problem, and I can't get answers, tee hee hee... Anyway, I have blogs with 1000's of posts and cannot find anywhere how to nofollow all of the the outgoing links that are already in there. I am at the moment working thru one page at a time, putting it in manually.... but at this rate it will take 'til the end of my life. Is there an automatic method of making outgoing links nofollow and to default new posts also to nofollow". Thanks again for vids... they are great!

Hey guys I learned a few things off this video I sure appreciate that sometime it's hard to get good advise off the internet. I wan'ted to share someting with your vistors on the fire fox browser they have an add on that is a on follow which highlights the site for you very easy and powerful tool. Thanks for the info and keep them coming. Glenn

I agree that both types are important. I think a backlink is a backlink, don't really care if it's dofollow or no follow. I didn't have any audio in the last couple of minutes.

Thank you Tim, This is very interesting. I was very surprised by your explanation about the no-follow links on blog comments especially in view that most of the "experts" continue to suggest that commenting on relevant blogs is essential for link building for new websites. But you are absolutely right. After watching the video I've checked comment links on a few random WP sites and they were no-follow. I enjoy watching your videos. They are all so well done and are very informative. Thank you. All the best and more success to you in 2011. Dita
