- Metal Hair Barrette or Scarf Pin

Nice medium to slightly smaller sized adjustable hair barrette with its twist and lock method of holding your hair tight. The barrette and stick are made with solid copper and nickel silver. I use a nice fairly thick gauge of copper that is very strong when pounded but also stays pretty light in your hair. Nickel silver is a stiff metal alloy of copper, nickel, and zinc so it is quite sturdy. Each barrette is hand shaped, welded, and pounded. These barrettes are great at holding hair. Many people have told me they are the only things that actually stay in their hair. These can also work very well as scarf pins or shawl pins.
*Measurements*
The barrette and stick measure 5.25 inches ( 13.3 cm) long and 2 inch (5.1 cm) wide.

*Hair Barrette Instructions*
The barrette and stick are each slightly bent so they will fit tightly together. Twist the stick to release it from the barrette and pull it out. To fasten, place the barrette on top of your hair and slide the stick through the barrette so the curve of the stick is down (like a shallow ?u?) then twist the stick into place. You should hear it snap. If this is too tight, the barrette and stick are each adjustable. You can bend the barrette to have a slightly greater curve if needed.

- Big Nickel Silver Teardrop Earrings

Really cool very large hammered nickel teardrops that are hand cut, welded, and pounded. They are on surgical steel ear wires. At least one picture is taken with a copper penny to give a better perspective of their size.
*Measurement*
They measure a little over 3 1/4 inches (8.3 cm) from the top of the earring to the bottom of the earring and a tad over 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) at the widest part.

We do not coat our jewelry with any lacquer or other chemicals so the metals on this comb will tend to tarnish over time but can be polished up with any silver, brass, or copper cleaner. Also an old tooth brush and some toothpaste can do just as well. You can also just leave the piece alone and let the metals fade to softer tones.
