- Greenlands Hotel - Ovacik - Turkey
we stayed at the greenland for a week in early september, we arrived early hours of the morn and was taken to our room, the room was loveley, very modern clean and some nice little touches.
when we woke in the morn to brilliant sunshine opened the balcony doors wow fantastic hotel,pool area was clean,plenty of sunloungers,the bar area was clean and bar staff were friendly and helpful.food was plentiful and everything you can imagine was on the menu.
location of hotel was a bit out the way but easy to get a dolmus into the next town just a short stroll down to the main road and put your hand out and the bus will stop. entertainment was ok we didnt stay in the hotel much of an evening but when we did it was ok, the dj and entertainment crew did there best to keep everyone happy. the hotel staff in all areas were absolutely loveley they were all really friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
we loved this hotel so much we have booked for sept but staying 10 days this time.

hotel was of a good standard people should be a bit more realistic on the amount theyre spending,for what you pay here you get extremely good value,the food is good the drink side of it is not bad,the rooms are fine and kept spotless,the hotel grounds are nice and its in a good location what more do you want,if you want 5 star you'll need to dig deeper into your pockets,you get in life what you pay for,would reccomend hotel and would come back
- Seaview Patong Hotel - Phuket - Thailand
This was our second stay at the Seaview, having stayed for a couple of weeks back in 2010. We never go back to the same hotel usually but we liked the Seaview and Patong as a resort and were happy to stay here again.
Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. Air con is excellent, the room has a separate bathroom with a shower over the bath. The water is scorchingly hot so be careful! Staff overall are extremely friendly and helpful on the whole although a couple of the women serving around breakfast time were not only miserable but very slack at their jobs, most unusual for Thailand.
There are two pools, both are nice. The hotel provides towels for the pool area. Sunbeds are very comfy with a big mattress on them however, you need to be up very early to get a position you want as half of the beds have been 'claimed' by 07:15am every day.
The hotel is 10 yards from the beach....just across the road, the road is not too busy at all. The beach is long and sandy and is great for walking, the sea is clear and very warm. The hotel is in a great position because it's away from the bustle of Bangla Road but is only 10 mins walk away at night if you want to get to the manic nightlife (which we did)! All in all this is a very good hotel and hard to beat if staying in Patong. Travel Republic were almost 50% cheaper for this hotel than anyone else, it pays to shop around.

This brand new hotel is only on it's second week of opening and this was thier first real big test. We were the first couple to ever stay in our room.
We were located on the top floor in a standard double room.
The hotel is located right in the city centre and is a very short walk from the train station, also very conveniently located to get to almost anywhere..attractions, shopping malls, bars, restaurants, the quayside...
As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by the friendly staff who make check in as easy as possible. Nothing is too much trouble for them and wasnt throughout our entire stay. They are also eager to recevie feedback and suggestions there and then as to how they can improve thier service. They are more than happy to accomodate any special requests.
The hotel rates cover room only but there have breakfasts available at £6.95 and also a reasonably varied and reasonably priced all day food menu...we skipped breakfast but did eat a couple of times at the hotel over the weekend, little bar snacks etc.
The hotel also has it's own bar..most people tended to use this to either start or end the evenings festivities. Bar prices are excellent.
Our room was tastefully furnished although some might say the standard room is a little small, lack of storage space more than anything. The bathroom is a complete wet room but is small and compact. Again, this was not an issue for us.
There were little things as I dont think the hotel is fully finished as to how they want it to be, no soap in the ladies loo for example..but the staff are more than happy to jump on anything pointed out to them.
The only entertainment in the hotel was from the gang of lasses from Barnsley..very amusing to watch!
Check out is by 11am but even then, they have a storage area for your luggage which they label up for you to collect whenever you do actually leave the city. The area is secure as well.
We will definitely be returning here as soon as possible.
- Club Candan - Marmaris - Turkey
The Hotel Club Candan was exactly as described in the brochure and reviews read. This was our first time in Turkey nad my Sister and I were very nervous but we needn't have been as it was brill. We booked our excursions with Thompson and thoroughly enjoyed them. The rooms and all the hotel were spotless. The food was excellent too the only down side was the entertainment which we had once during the week. We would definately go again.

we really enjojed our stay at JJs the staff were so helpful, the place was basic and i never saw any insects of any kind which was nice, the food was excellent, i would definatly stay there again, i would like to thank all the staff at JJs for such an enjoyable stay thanks to you all. xxxxx
- Rosamar Hotel - Benidorm - Costa Blanca
Our room was very clean and cleaned daily. we only stayed bed and breakfast but breakfast was really nice. the hotel is centrally based for all the local entertainment and the beach. the staff were all nice and helpful when we approached them. we didnt use the hotel for entertainment as the location is within easy reach of lots of bars with their own entertainment. we would use this hotel again.
- Iberostar Playa Gaviotas Hotel - Jandia - Fuerteventura
I have put down would not go back ONLY because of where the hotel is located. The hotel its self was fantastic and staff great. Cleaners in everyday. Food great but they do not always cook the meat right through, You need to ask to be cooked longer. ( Wife was not happy with this ) The hotel is very German orientated but would still recommend the hotel.
- Anastasia Hotel - Stalis - Crete
This was the best hotel I have ever stayed in. I felt like at home. I got everything what i needed and had unforgetable vacations ever.
It was really good value although it is 3+ star hotel, i would give 4 at least.. The Hotel is situated in very nice place with the hills behind and sea ahead. The staff was very friendly and were allways ready to help us in all the ways. The master Mixalis is the best manager in the world lucky to have him in the best hotel in Greece, because he can solve any problem, is very professional, polite and helpfull all the time. The hotel is very clean and nice with gardens everywhere, the food was very tasty and variable. There were great and FREE shows every evening like Dancing Girls, Mistic Men, Karaoke, Greek Night and others. The sleep quality was perfect as the rooms have good isolation from any noise.
I know now the Hotel to stay in, once on the island of Crete. I would definately come back again !
I recommend Anastasia Hotel for everyone who wants to have unforgetable vacations, no doubt....
- Lucia Beach Guest House - Candolim - Goa
This is a family run guest house, they are wonderful loving and caring people. The accommodation is lovely with en-suite bathroom (rooms only), spotless! so near to the beach, 2 mins literally! and 3mins walk to the restaurants etc, yet you are in such an oasis of peace...no noise. "Lucia" is a fabulous cook and is always happy to cook, help or do anything for you! (you don't feel invaded tho which is so lovely. Also she knows all the best deals for trips, shopping and anything you may want to know!! I miss her already not to mention Candolim! See you again Lucia! love from Gillians daughter Nicky xx
