- Plasma Chair By Rock Galpin
The lounger that completely moulds to your body shape instantly.
The 1100mm moulded plastic dome capsule uses a stretched sorboskin cover. The cover lowers the user down by forcing out the air through perforations round the rim. Once lowered to a certain point the user becomes aware of another material inside that begins to mould around the body which is forced down and up the sides to create arm rests.
In addition the whole seat can be unplugged from the base by lifting, and re-positioning at any angle, symmetrically or asymmetrically, for a formal, upright position through to a relaxed lounging position.

- The Famous Swan Chair Designed By Arne Jacobsen
Arne Jacobsen designed The Swan Chair as well as the Egg Chair for the lobby and lounge areas at the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, in 1958.
The commission to design every element of the hotel building as well as the furniture was Jacobsen’s grand opportunity to put his theories of integrated design and architecture into practice.
In 1958 the Swan was a technologically innovative chair: No straight lines - only curves. A moulded shell of synthetic material on an aluminium star swivel base, with a layer of cold foam covering the shell upholstered in fabric or leather.
These two original designer chairs originated in Jacobsen’s own garage in his home in Klampenborg, north of Copenhagen and have been in production at Fritz Hansen ever since.
The Swan is ideal for lounge and waiting areas as well as the home. It is available in several leather types and fabric upholstery. The base is always star shaped in satin polished aluminium
- The Famous Egg Chair Designed by Arne Jacobsen
Arne Jacobsen designed the Egg Chair for the lobby and reception areas in the Royal Hotel, in Copenhagen.
The commission to design every element of the hotel building as well as the furniture was Jacobsen’s grand opportunity to put his theories of integrated design and architecture into practice. The Egg is one of the triumphs of Jacobsen’s total design - a sculptural contrast to the building’s almost exclusively vertical and horizontal surfaces.
The Egg sprang from a new technique, which Jacobsen was the first to use; a strong foam inner shell underneath the upholstery. Like a sculptor, Jacobsen strove to find the shell’s perfect shape in clay at home in his own garage.
Because of the unique shape, the Egg guarantees a bit of privacy in otherwise public spaces and the Egg – with or without footstool – is ideal for lounge and waiting areas as well as the home.
The Egg is available in a wide variety of fabric upholstery as well as leather, always combined with a star shaped base in satin polished aluminium.

- Pacific Green Palmwood Furniture Fuels the Imagination
Sometimes a house, a room or a piece of furniture will grab attention and leave a lasting impression.
Many find this happens when they first see the Palmwood furniture collection from Pacific Green, a company whose factory is in Sigatoka, Fiji. The compelling designs capture the imagination and transport the viewer away to the exotic places, with visions of life among indigenous peoples and lost civilizations. Words cannot do justice to these gorgeous hand finished pieces of furniture. See for yourself.
The Luxor Chaise
The Luxor Armchair
The Navajo Dining Set
Now that you know what Pacific Green’s furniture looks like, want to what makes it even more beautiful? There’s a reason the company is called Pacific Green. It uses only palmwood from abandoned plantations first established in the 1900s to provide coconut palm trees to produce copra. The company found a way to use the trees to produce Palmwood that equals the qualities of hardwoods—the perfect green alternative that means less destruction of the world’s forests. Not only are the raw materials sustainable, but their manufacturing process is entirely environmentally friendly. Even the packaging used is recyclable. And as if to add an exclamation point to their green philosophy, the leftover sawdust is used as a fertilizer.
Born in the South Pacific, this maker of sustainable contemporary furniture maintains its roots. Pacific Green takes great pride in using local labor at fair wages. It now offers “a complete Palmwood lifestyle concept, from furniture and homewares to architectural materials like columns, flooring, panels and cladding.”
One last look—the name of this piece is not readily available, but we just had to include it as the seating perfectly exemplifies the designs created by Pacific Green—fascinating and compelling.

- The 14 Series Chandeliers by Omer Arbel for Bocci
Traditionally, chandeliers have been understood as central, sculptural installations, which become the visual focus of a room.
The 14 series, designed by Omer Arbel in 2005, is the original chandelier to challenge this concept. Instead of a central sculptural object, the 14 series is an ambient chandelier, achieving its power through a strategy of composition and clustering. The 14 series fills the volume of a room, making the height and shape of its dimensions understood to the inhabitants in a direct physical manner.
The 14 series pendant is an articulated, seamed cast glass sphere with a frosted cylindrical void that houses either a low voltage (12V, 10Watt xenon) or proprietary and replaceable LED. Individual pendants are visually quite subtle, but gain tremendous strength when multiplied and clustered in large groups. Light interacts with the bubbles and imperfections of the cast glass to produce a glow reminiscent of small candles floating within spheres of water. Cast glass is an organic process, imperfect by nature, and each 14 series pendant is handmade; thus, every piece produced is unique.
Our standard collection offers flexibility in both design and measure, starting from a single pendant and continuing through to 36 pendant chandeliers in a range of canopy shapes and sizes. The clustering effect can be manipulated through various combinations to create larger scale groupings with profound phenomenological impact.
